Guided endodontics is advantageous, for example, in the treatment of obliterated or calcified teeth. The drilling axis for the preparation of the root canal is determined with 3D planning software. A drill sleeve matched to the drill is inserted into a printed or milled drilling template. This allows guided drilling through the template.
In principle, the drill length must be taken into account in the virtual planning and placement of the drill sleeve in the template. Suitable drill sleeves and matching drills are available here:
